Fo Guang Shan Singapore is located beside Punggol MRT station in northeastern Singapore. Its architecture blends modern aesthetics with a break from traditional temple structures, presenting a balance of solemnity and innovation. The temple's entrance, engraved with Venerable Master Hsing Yun's calligraphy "Fo Guang Shan Singapore," exudes a solemn yet modern aura, embodying the fusion of tradition and modernity.

Seated at the entrance to the temple is the smiling Maitreya Bodhisattva, symbolizing Fo Guang Shan's welcoming spirit: "Warm greetings upon arrival, heartfelt farewells upon departure." He embodies the essence of joy and ease, allowing every visitor to feel a sense of warmth and happiness."

Main Shrine

In the spacious, light-filled main shrine, a majestic white jade Buddha sits serenely at the centre—solemn, sublime, and radiant with perfect virtue. Here, devotees develop reverence through prostration, deepen concentration through meditation, and dispel confusion by hearing the Dharma, awakening wisdom. This sacred space is truly vital for cultivating both practice and understanding.

The Diamond Sutra is intricately engraved on over 6,648 crystal-clear glass tiles, each character gleaming with precision and clarity—radiating the brilliance of prajna wisdom. This stunning work of craftsmanship invites quiet awe, drawing visitors to reflect on its timeless truth:
“All conditioned phenomena are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, and shadows.”

Wall of 10,000 Buddha images

On the wall facing the Jade Buddha in the main shrine, ten thousand white porcelain Buddha tiles are embedded, symbolizing: "When one Buddha appears in the world, ten thousand Buddhas lend their protection."

 

This radiant display embodies the compassionate vows and boundless power of all Buddhas, offering divine guardianship to sentient beings and inspiring unwavering faith in the Dharma path.

The Thirty-Three Sacred Statues of Guanyin

In front of the main shrine, thirty-three sacred statues of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva are reverently enshrined, each meticulously sculpted by renowned artisans from China's Maijishan Grottoes.

 

Every gesture of Avalokiteshvara—whether a raised hand or a tranquil posture—radiates profound spiritual magnetism, awakening devotees to emulate the Bodhisattva’s compassion, manifestation in response, carefree character and glorious

Service Counter

The service desk on the first floor serves as the welcoming and information hub for devotees, offering services such as merit registration, course inquiries, and event guidance. Volunteers greet visitors with friendly smiles and patient explanations, helping first-time visitors feel at ease and familiar with the environment, while regular practitioners appreciate the thoughtful convenience. This reflects the caring warmth of Humanistic Buddhism.
