To “repay a drop of water with a gushing spring” is the aim of setting up Waterdrop Teahouse by Venerable Master Hsing Yun in the five continents of the world. It signifies the intention of repaying kindness to all devotees.

To realize the mindset of repaying kindness by Venerable Master Hsing Yun, Fo Guang Shan (Singapore) has specially set up an elegant Waterdrop Teahouse for all to meet and relax besides paying respect to the Buddha. It is hoped to provide a warm and cozy environment for all devotees to rest and interact with one another while appreciating the fragrance of vegetarian meals and the beauty of the Dharma.

 

 

Objectives:

• Propagating Dharma through vegetarian food: In addition to providing vegetarian lunches and snacks for devotees and visitors, the teahouse also offers an ideal setting where one can relax in the midst of hustle and bustle in city life. It is as if one is in a treasure island where one is free and easy.

• Promoting vegetarian food through giving others convenience: The Waterdrop Teahouse is a non-profit entity which gives convenience to all devotees and members. Essentially, it provides a convenient place to all where they can appreciate the fragrance of herbal tea and snacks with joy and health.

• A simple meal with noodle or rice as the main course together with tea or drinks and snacks would make it a practical, environmental friendly and modern mindset. A natural and healthy food culture is brought to people from all walks of life.
